It started the way most good stories do - with hunger. One night in the kitchen, craving shawarma and unwilling to settle, we started asking questions instead of ordering delivery: what actually makes shawarma taste right? We tested it, missed, tried again, and kept going until we had something we were genuinely proud of - light and fresh, not the heavy, greasy version we’d grown tired of driving hours for.
So we started making it for the people we loved. “Shawarma nights” for friends and family turned into pop-ups and festivals, and pop-ups turned into a following - lines out the door, sold-out trays, a growing crowd showing up just for us. What started on one borrowed machine had outgrown the space we were working out of.
That's why we found a home of our own. Alhara means “the neighborhood” in Arabic, and that's exactly what we set out to build - a place where you don't just come for a meal, you come to slow down, share a table, and feel like you belong. Good food, good company, good vibes.

From a home kitchen to a trailer we barely knew how to drive — every part of Alhara was built by hand, so you can slow down, eat well, and feel like family.
Every recipe started as a craving in our own kitchen — tried, tweaked, and re-tried at shawarma nights with the people whose opinions we trust most, until it earned its spot on the menu.
We got tired of shawarma that left you weighed down. Ours is built to be fresh and refreshing — big on flavor, without the grease.
